When can I arrive for my CMXclusive Private Screening event?

All CMXclusive Private Screenings open 30 minutes prior to showtime, providing access to your auditorium in the theatre.

Can I stay in the auditorium after the movie?

CMXclusive Private Screening guests can remain their auditorium up to 10 mins after the end of credits without any additional fees. Additional time will result in a $250 minimum charge every additional 15 minutes.

What is CMX doing to deliver a safe movie going experience?

How far in advance do I need to book a CMXclusive Private Screening?

Online booking – movies are available for booking up to showtime

Full service - We request that you book at least two weeks in advance. Submit an event inquiry at: CMX Cinemas Full Service Reservations

Are outside food & beverages in my CMXclusive Private Screening?

Due to health and safety codes, CMX has a strict policy that no outside food & beverages are permitted inside the theatre. Please consider pre-ordering food & beverages^* from our robust menus at the cinema.

Can I order food and beverages^* at a CMX Private Screening?

Our dine-in theatres offer full in theatre service and we will happily work with you on a menu

Our luxury / traditional locations offer a full concession stand and we will work with you on setting up the purchase process

If we are celebrating an occasion for our CMXclusive Private Screening (such as a birthday party), can we bring in a cake or decorate?

Please inform the theatre beforehand of the request – any cake must be from a licensed bakery with receipt, no candles or balloons are allowed

We require removal of all cake and decorations

As mentioned above, CMX has a strict policy where no outside food or beverage is allowed

When and how do I pay for a CMXclusive Private Screening?

Online Booking – you can pay online in full immediately.

Full service – a physical contract will need to be executed to reserve your screening, along with a deposit, and payment in full is required before the showtime

Can I screen a Blu-ray, DVD or a Streaming Device during my CMXclusive Private Screening?

For full service CMXclusive Private Screenings, this option is offered at many locations. Please check with the local theatre management when inquiring about your event.

Are tax and gratuity included in the rental fee for a CMXclusive Private Screening?

All CMXclusive Private Screening events are subject to tax and gratuity and will be included in the event proposal, where applicable.

What is CMX’s cancelation policy?

CMX Cinemas require at least 48 hours notice to cancel a CMXclusive Private Screening. The deposit and payment are non-refundable after this time period.

How can I request a refund?

For CMXclusive Private Screening online bookings, refunds are processed online at https://www.cmxcinemas.com/refunds

What programming can I watch at a Private Cinema?

Online Booking – new releases can be reserved along with any other movie option available at your location.

Full service – Typically we can play studio releases, streaming devices, laptop, gaming devices, PowerPoint presentations and blu-rays/DVDs. If you are bringing your own content for your CMXclusive Private Screening, it must be made available to the locations no less than 48 hours in advance. CMX reserves the right to not show any content deemed inappropriate.

How will I know what movies and showtimes are available for booking my CMXclusive Private Screening?

When booking directly online, you will only be allowed to select from available releases

Is it possible to display a welcome slide or video for guests at a CMXclusive Private Screening?

We do not provide artwork assistance, but we will be happy to give you specifications for what we can accommodate for on screen content.
